Move-in cleaning · Dublin

Start a new home on your own terms.

A full clean before you unpack, so the standard you start with in a new Dublin home is one you chose — not whatever was left behind.

Whatever standard the previous occupant left the property in, it's rarely the one you'd choose for yourself. Move-in cleaning is booked before you unpack — often between getting keys and moving furniture in — so the first version of the home you actually live in is a clean one.

It's a full reset rather than a light tidy: kitchen surfaces and appliance exteriors, bathrooms disinfected from scratch, floors and skirting boards throughout, and the small details — light switches, door handles, window sills — that a previous cleaner (professional or otherwise) may not have reached. We treat every move-in as if we don't know what state the property was left in, because usually we don't.

Booking is easiest once you have keys but before furniture arrives — an empty property is faster to clean thoroughly. If that's not possible, we'll work around what's already moved in and confirm the scope with you in advance.

Why MirroClean

What stays consistent, visit to visit

A genuine reset, not a light tidy

We clean a new-to-you home as if we don't know its history — because we usually don't — rather than assuming it's already in good order.

Timed around your move

Ideally booked between keys and furniture, but we'll work with whatever stage your move is at.

Clear scope from the start

You'll know exactly what's covered before the visit, so there's no ambiguity about what 'move-in ready' means for your specific property.

One point of contact

Straightforward communication before and after the visit, so a busy moving week doesn't get more complicated.

Service options

However often you need it

One-off move-in visit

A single, thorough clean timed to your move date — this is a one-time service by nature.

Follow-on regular plan

Many clients set up weekly or fortnightly cleaning straight after their move-in clean, to hold the new baseline.

Pricing

A price based on your property, not a flat rate

Pricing depends on the size of the property and whether it's empty or partly furnished at the time of the clean. Request a quote with your move date and we'll confirm a price in advance.

Service area

Where we cover this service

This service is available across Dublin and the surrounding areas MirroClean already serves. See the areas we cover → If you're not sure whether we reach your address, ask when requesting your quote and we'll confirm.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you book

Should I book before or after I move furniture in?

Before, if possible. An empty property lets us clean floors, skirting boards and cupboard interiors properly, without working around boxes or furniture. If timing doesn't allow for that, we'll adapt the visit to what's already in place.

Do you clean inside cupboards and wardrobes?

Yes, where they're empty. If they still contain the previous occupant's items, we'll clean around them, since removing someone else's belongings isn't part of the service.

Is this the same as an end-of-tenancy clean?

It covers similar ground but from the opposite direction — end-of-tenancy cleaning is done by an outgoing tenant, usually with a deposit inspection in mind. Move-in cleaning is for the incoming occupant, with no inspection requirement attached.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you have a confirmed move date, since move-in cleans are often requested for a specific narrow window between getting keys and furniture arriving. Booking early gives us the best chance of matching that window.

Can I combine this with a deep clean?

Move-in cleaning already covers deep-clean-level detail for a newly vacant property. If the property needs additional work — such as oven cleaning or carpet cleaning — these are available as add-ons to the same visit.

What if the property still has the previous occupant's belongings?

We'll clean around anything still in place and confirm the scope with you beforehand. Removal of belongings isn't part of the cleaning service.

Do I need to provide anything?

No — supplies and equipment are included. If keys need to be collected from an agent or a neighbour, just let us know the arrangement in advance.
